the wind and sun to a passive solar home design to cozy floors
heated by wood. There is not a hydro line in sight as the property
is completely off-grid.
One
of the main reasons for creating the Bed & Breakfast was
to provide individuals, families and organizations a way to
truly experience what life is like living green and to learn
a little more about the technologies. What are the tradeoffs
to going green? How would your daily lifestyle change? Is
there a financial payback? We love how quickly kids pick up
the concepts and how fun it is to see the proverbial light
go on with adults :) No pun intended.
Your
stay with us includes a tour and discussion of the technologies
and can be as "light" or "deep" as you
would like to venture into the world of renewable resources.
(Really deep discussions might require the fortification of
a fine bottle of red wine.) We will also ask you to participate
fully in a green lifestyle while you are visiting with us
... tis the only way to learn!
