"The days following our BudLake experience we
kept having these glowing flashbacks that filled us
with joy everytime we thought about them.
The serendipity of the experience - the firepit, the
pond, the people, the music and dance all came together
to create one of the highlights of our lives.
Thank you so much for creating such a healing and
beautiful aesthetic space which made us all feel like
we were at home in Wonderland. From the user friendly
pond full of laughter, children and huge splashes
from the diving board to the calmness and majesty
of your log home; You and your Darling have created
a space which touches the hearts of all who visit.
Each one of us has taken away a different memory and
we thank you from our hearts for being the ultimate
and gracious hostess that you are. Thank you for welcoming
and embracing our family and making possible such
a creative joining amongst nature-fire-pond-music

time that we had at Bud Lake. Surrounded by nature and beauty,
it was probably one of the most relaxing environments that
Dustin and I had ever stayed in. We could even see every star
in the sky that night. As we are planning to build an off
the grid home ourselves, we were looking for good examples
of green homes...and we found one! Your B&B has a nice
balance of rustic appeal with sophisticated amenities. The
tour alone was well worth the time spent as it was educational

"Budlake
was the ideal launch pad from which my 5 girlfriends and
myself began our epic bike ride. This unique setting,
with it's
inviting pond (which I leapt into at every opportunity,
to the chorus of frogs) and substantial forest was like
a world unto itself. The surrounding greenery and Deb's
hospitality were enveloping -- much like the warm wooden
home that Deb has created and shared.
A
comment must be made about our hostess. She ensured
that we were comfortable and well nourished before departing
on our long journey. Deb researched and conjured up
the perfect breakfast to fuel our bodies and spirits.
I'm still chewing on the memories created during our
pause at Budlake."

"The
best of both worlds - camping and pampering! I got to experience
my favourite parts of camping - swimming in the lake and sitting
around a campfire but then I got to soak in that big tub,
sleep in a comfy bed and wake up to a delicious breakfast
and real coffee (camping coffee is always disappointing).
Oh and Mike, the kids & dog had fun too!"

is so wonderful to have found a place where our entire family
is welcome – kids and dogs – and have it be beautiful,
luxurious and spacious. No roughing it at Bud Lake! Every
time I visit I exhale…there is so much space for everyone,
inside and out, and the combination of exciting things to

"Deb..just
wanted to send you a thank-you for such a great weekend! Our
girls had such a fun time exploring Budlake! Budlake is a
paradise to relax in. It was so nice sitting on the island
watching the girls play, enjoying the quiet, watching the
wind turbine and cheering some of the amazing dives off of
the diving board. I am not much of a water person myself but
I can't think of a better afternoon I have spent other than
floating in an inner tube in Budlake with my family! Daisy
is used to small town living and a fenced in yard & she
really loved her freedom! Katie is a great dog buddy! Thanks
again for such a great weekend! We will be back again soon."

"Just
a little note to say hello and thanks so much for your hospitality
this weekend. Your house is one of a kind and my sister and
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Your cooking was amazing this
morning and we actually didn't eat anything again until supper!
Yummmm. It was soo peaceful and relaxing - you have a lovely
spot for sure.We will be sure to return to Bud Lake when we
are in the Grand Bend area and will be bringing our mom next
